We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and organisation while assisting our culinary team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field within a hotel or restaurant setting.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment.
- Assist chefs with food preparation tasks as needed.
- Help with the organisation of the kitchen by keeping workstations tidy and well-stocked.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the cooking staff during busy periods by providing assistance where required.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Good communication skills to liaise with kitchen staff effectively.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene practices is advantageous.
- Must be able to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
