Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café Manager to lead our vibrant team and oversee daily operations within a busy café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food preparation and safety standards. The Café Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing food production, and ensuring the smooth running of all café activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily café operations, ensuring efficient service and high-quality food presentation
- Supervise and motivate staff, including baristas, kitchen assistants, and serving personnel
- Manage food preparation and cooking processes to meet safety and quality standards
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely stock replenishment and inventory management
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and performance reviews
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer feedback promptly and professionally
- Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost control measures
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote the café’s offerings and attract new customers
- Uphold a welcoming environment that reflects the café’s brand values
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience in team management, with strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate staff
- Background in restaurant or hotel environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food production processes, kitchen operations, and hospitality standards
- Barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided as needed
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
