About us
Costiles is an established tile showroom based on the West Chirton South Industrial Estate in North Shields. We've been trading for five years and are an official BAL stockist, supplying trade customers and a growing number of residential buyers through our trade counter and online store. We work alongside Ian Costello Tiling, a wall and floor tiling installation company based at the same address.
We're looking for a Showroom Manager to lead the day to day running of the showroom, drive sales, and get the best out of a small, friendly team.
The role
As Showroom Manager you'll take ownership of the showroom and trade counter, making sure customers get great service, sales targets are met, and the business runs smoothly behind the scenes. You'll lead the team, manage stock and supplier relationships, and help grow both our trade and residential customer base.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the day to day running of the showroom and trade counter
- Managing, motivating, and supporting the team, including rotas, training, and setting standards
- Driving sales across both trade and residential customers, and helping meet targets
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, and managing ordering and stock levels
- Overseeing goods in, stock control, and the smooth running of the warehouse
- Making sure the showroom, displays, and merchandising look their best at all times
- Handling customer enquiries, quotes, and orders, and resolving any issues professionally
- Supporting our online store and click and collect orders
- Keeping an eye on margins, pricing, and general commercial performance
- Opening and closing the showroom as a keyholderWhat we're looking for
Essential:
- Proven experience in a retail, trade counter, or showroom management role
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and get the best from a team
- Confident, commercially minded, and focused on sales and customer service
- Computer literate, comfortable with till systems, email, stock systems, and office software
- Well organised, with good attention to detail across orders, stock, and admin
- Reliable and hands on, happy to work alongside the team on the counter and in the warehouse
- Able to handle heavy stock safely, including lifting and moving boxes of tiles
- UK Drivers Licence
Desirable:
- Knowledge of tiles, adhesives, wall panels, or building materials
- Experience managing supplier relationships and ordering
- Experience with e-commerce or online order fulfilment
- Forklift or manual handling certification

- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Saturday
- Salary: Competitive salaty with bonus
