Overview
We are an established electrical contractor who are branching out into the mechanical division with work all over the UK.
The candidate needs to be a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Project Engineer to join our newly formed team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and source a full team of people around them to deliver the mechanical division with the help of the existing staff.
The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, expertise in system design, and proficiency with various engineering tools and software. The job is UK based so will require some travelling.
Duties
- Lead the design, development, and realisation of HVAC systems in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within existing systems and develop effective solutions.
- Utilise software such as SolidWorks, CAD, and GD&T principles to create detailed schematics and technical drawings.
- Perform system design tasks incorporating mechanical knowledge to optimise performance, efficiency, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are achieved within budget and schedule constraints.
- Prepare technical documentation including schematics, system specifications, and test procedures for project delivery.
- Support installation, commissioning, and testing phases on-site to ensure operational excellence.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in system design principles.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams effectively.
- Experience in root cause analysis to diagnose complex system issues efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
