Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace faulty parts using hand tools and power tools, ensuring high-quality workmanship
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle components or parts safely and efficiently, following safety protocols
- Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used accurately in service records
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and develop effective solutions
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency during repair processes
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of automotive systems and components
- Experience using hand tools and power tools effectively in repair tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine maintenance or repair work
- Prior experience working as a motor mechanic or in an automotive repair environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety standards
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and explain technical issues clearly
