Overview of Calan DVS
Calan DVS is a domestic abuse charity in Wales and we are committed to working in partnership to end domestic violence and abuse. Our staff are passionate about what they do and deliver much needed services to support some of the most vulnerable people in society.
We cover a large and varied geographical area, providing services across Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot, South Powys, Ammanford (Carmarthenshire) and Pembrokeshire.

Our vision
At Calan DVS, our vision is to work towards safe and resilient communities free from domestic violence and abuse. To achieve this, we aim to relieve the distress, suffering and poverty experienced by families exposed to domestic violence and abuse. We also aim to educate the public regarding the causes and effects of domestic abuse along with prevention methods.
Overview of Ty Rhosyn Housing Support Services – Calan DVS
Homelessness Prevention Officer in Ammanford
Start Date: Immediate start
Salary: £24,500. FT post 35 hours, fixed term contract up to 31.3.29.
TŶ RHOSYN Housing Support Services will aim to support vulnerable individuals at risk of homelessness, not just during a crisis, but throughout their journey towards independence.
Specialist workers will focus on prevention of homelessness for women, men, and their families at risk of homelessness in rural areas. The project will offer help and support to prevent homelessness at an earlier stage and at least two to three months before crisis point.
This exciting project is made up of 4 main specialist domestic abuse charities:
1. Threshold DAS (Lead)
2. Calan Domestic Violence Services (CALAN DVS)
3. Carmarthen Domestic Abuse Services (CARM DAS)
4. West Wales Domestic Abuse Services (WWDAS)
The closing date for applications is 31.8.26
Interviews will take place in Ammanford 3.9.26
