The College is looking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Review Co-ordinator to join our Student Experience Team. You will be committed to ensuring the smooth running and timely completion of Personal Educational Plan meetings for Young People in Care at the College.
Ideally, you will:
- Hold a professional qualification and/or training at Level 3 or casework experience in supporting learners with a diverse range of needs
- Hold GCSEs in English and maths at grade 4/C or above or equivalent
- Have experience of working with young people, on a one-to-one basis, within an educational setting
- Have experience liaising with schools and other agencies to support and overcoming barriers to learning.
- Have experience of working with or contributing to Personal Educational Plans to support learners progress and achievements.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Coordinate, prepare for, and attend Personal Education Plan (PEP) meetings for young people in care, ensuring plans are up to date and accurately reflect learner progress and support needs.
- Act as the key liaison between the college, local authorities, social workers, and carers to ensure effective communication and joined-up support.
- Monitor learners’ attendance, progress, and wellbeing, flagging concerns promptly and working collaboratively to implement interventions.
- Support learners in care to engage fully with their education and access additional services, enrichment opportunities, and pastoral support.
- Work closely with curriculum teams, support staff, and external agencies to identify barriers to learning and coordinate tailored support.
- As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check
