SEMH Teacher (ECT)
A nurturing independent specialist school in Wythenshawe are looking for a qualified SEMH Teacher (ECT) to join their close-knit school.
This is a unique opportunity to join this well-established education group in supporting pupils with diverse needs. The school are looking for an SEMH Teacher with proven experience of working with SEND or SEMH pupils, preferably within an education setting. They provide a broad and balanced curriculum, to promote engagement and individual progression.
Job description:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons, to KS1/KS2 pupils with complex SEMH, ASC and other learning needs
- Alongside the curriculum, providing emotional regulation and sensory support
- Promoting independence and confidence through tailored, nurture-focused learning
- Tracking progress and contribute to EHCP processes
- Preparing pupils for transition to KS3
- Working hours: 8:15am - 4pm
- Starting asap/September
- Salary: £32,000 - £38,000
Person specification:
- Experience of teaching, preferably in a SEN setting
- QTS or QTLS (ECTs welcome and encouraged!)
- Experience of adapting teaching to various needs
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Adaptable, resilient and empathetic attitude
