Job Summary
We are seeking someone to join our team at our small factory in Halifax. Hours of work are mon to thursday 7.30 to 4.15, Friday 7.30 to 3.15. Full training given. A varied role in a light engineering environment.
Duties
- Manufacture small parts ready for assembly.
- Assemble parts.
- Solder components.
- Linish components.
- Inspect components ensuring they meet specifications.
- Pack finished items carefully and efficiently, preparing them for shipment while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of products during assembly and packing to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Support team members in meeting daily production goals through effective communication and collaboration.
- Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools confidently.
- Prior experience in assembly, packing, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate packing and quality control.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift comfortably.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow safety procedures diligently.
