Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer/Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems across a variety of commercial and residential settings. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, mechanical systems, and safety procedures related to gas work. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair gas appliances and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues with gas infrastructure
- Perform maintenance tasks on gas pipelines, boilers, and related equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete tasks efficiently
- Carry out plumbing work associated with gas systems including pipe fitting and leak detection
- Ensure all work is completed safely, adhering to health and safety legislation at all times
- Assist in the assembly of new systems or components as required
- Perform heavy lifting when handling large or bulky equipment or materials
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and report any safety concerns or faults
Experience
- Proven experience in gas engineering or related technical trades such as plumbing or mechanical maintenance
- Knowledge of welding techniques and the use of welding equipment is desirable
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and carpentry techniques
- Familiarity with commercial driving licences is advantageous but not essential
- Practical experience with assembly work and basic maths for measurements and calculations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to gas work
- Previous experience working in both residential and commercial environments is preferred

Pay: £50,000.00 per year
