Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our fully private dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during patient treatments, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining a smooth clinical environment. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Provide pre- and post-treatment advice to patients, including oral hygiene instructions
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Support with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
- Monitor patient wellbeing during procedures and respond promptly to any concerns or emergencies
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the clinical environment to uphold hygiene standards
- Support the practice team in daily operations to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with patients and team members
- Basic nursing or dental assisting qualifications recognised within the UK healthcare system
- Competent IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems
- Excellent communication skills with a caring attitude towards patients of all ages
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
