Transport Kitchen/Catering Assistant - Melton Mowbray
Relish School Food are a Fresh Food company, passionate for providing top quality meals to schools across the country, including special needs schools. We recently won the Jamie Oliver award within one of our schools.
The successful candidate must have a passion for service and food, own a car insured for business use, have a clean driving licence, can drive and enjoy working in schools. We are looking for a Catering/Kitchen Assistant who will support the Chef in the kitchen then transport food from the main kitchen to another school nearby.
- £13.00 per hour, working 39 weeks a year school Term-Time Only (paid for 52 weeks)
- No Weekend work!
- 15 hrs a week - 10:30 - 13:30
- Clean driving licence needed and owning a car.
- Expenses - 45p/mile
The following role will require you to:
- Transport cooked food from one Relish school to another.
- Support the Chef Manager and team to prepare the food daily - a background in working in kitchens is desirable.
- Serve meals to pupils and staff, parents and governors of the school if applicable.
- Carry out cleaning duties and schedule if applicable.
- Must have a good understanding of safeguarding or be willing to learn.
- And most importantly be a team player and loves engaging with the children.
