An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Strategic Commissioning Team on a temporary basis for 12 months as a Senior Strategic Commissioner.
This is an excellent development opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for North Lincolnshire residents and wants to gain experience of strategic commissioning, service redesign, procurement and partnership working across Adults, Children's Services, Public Health and the wider council.
Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you will lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of commissioning projects, working closely with internal services, health partners, providers, voluntary organisations and people with lived experience to design and commission high-quality, value-for-money services.
What you'll be doing
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Lead strategic commissioning projects from needs analysis through to procurement, mobilisation and review.
- Develop business cases and service specifications.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Council, NHS and voluntary sector.
- Analyse data and evidence to inform service planning and future investment.
- Support procurement exercises and contract development.
- Engage with people who use services, carers and stakeholders to ensure services are co-produced and outcome focused.
- Present reports and recommendations to senior leaders and governance boards.
- Contribute to market development and innovative approaches to service delivery.
