Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Bar and Waiting On Staff. These roles involves providing excellent service in a lively and welcoming environment, ensuring guests have a memorable experience. The ideal candidates will possess a passion for hospitality, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. All positions are paid at minimum wage for age plus equal shares of tips and can offer opportunities for personal development within the hospitality industry if desired.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and drinks to customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct delivery of food and drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar, restaurant and garden areas at all times
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Provide friendly assistance to guests, answering questions about menu items and specials
- Adhere to health and safety standards, including food safety protocols and responsible alcohol service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during peak hours
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential
- A happy and chatty personality
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Legible hand writing for orders
- Excellent time management abilities to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Friendly personality with strong communication skills and a professional attitude
