As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while leading and managing the kitchen team effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Manage food production processes, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimising waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, complying with health and safety regulations.
- Implement food safety practices to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- A passion for culinary arts and creativity in developing new dishes.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff.
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
