Skilled Labourer
Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Skilled Labourer to join our growing team. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will assist with a wide range of property maintenance, refurbishment, and construction projects across domestic and commercial properties.
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, take pride in their work, and be willing to turn their hand to different tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills while working alongside experienced tradespeople.
Responsibilities
- Assist with a variety of property maintenance and refurbishment works.
- Carry out general labouring duties including site preparation, loading and unloading materials, and keeping work areas clean and organised.
- Assist with flooring installations, plasterboarding, decorating, carpentry, bathroom and kitchen installations, and general building works.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Support skilled tradespeople with day-to-day tasks across multiple projects.
- Carry out basic maintenance and repair work where appropriate.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company expectations.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition.
- Represent the company professionally when working at customers’ properties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in property maintenance, construction, or a similar hands-on role.
- Good practical skills with the ability to use a range of hand and power tools.
- A willingness to learn new trades and develop existing skills.
- Strong work ethic with excellent timekeeping and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work.
