We are looking for a motivated and reliable Estate Worker to join our friendly team on a diverse and busy rural estate.
This is a varied, hands-on role working across farming, paddock and grassland management, livestock (sheep) care, and general estate maintenance. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple departments, helping to maintain high standards across the estate but you will also need to be comfortable making decisions and working on your own.
Key Responsibilities
- Tractor driving and operation of agricultural machinery (mowing, hedge cutting, fertilising, cultivating)
- Grassland and paddock maintenance including rolling, topping, and harrowing
- Fencing repairs, hedge maintenance and installation of electric fencing
- Supporting livestock care (including lambing, feeding, and general welfare tasks)
- Assisting with arboriculture work and general estate upkeep
- Supporting garden and game departments as required
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor machinery repairs
- Assisting with conservation work, hedgerow planting, and land management

We’re looking for someone who brings a positive, can-do attitude and is happy to get stuck in across a wide range of tasks.
You will be:
- A supportive and reliable team player, who also works well independently
- Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on varied duties
- A good problem solver, able to use initiative on a day-to-day basis
- Practical, hands-on and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
Essential:
- Tractor driving experience and knowledge of agricultural machinery
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Driving licence
- Livestock experience (Preferably sheep)
- Full right to work in the UK
Desirable:
- Chainsaw certificates (e.g. CS30/31)
- Experience in general farm work
- Experience with fencing, hedge cutting and estate maintenance
