This is a part-time role - 20 hours per week including one weekend day per week
Job Summary:
As a Baker, you will be responsible for baking a wide range of sweet and savoury goods to a high standard. This is a hands-on role, supporting both the pastry and savoury chefs in the daily production of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of sweet and savoury items including croissant dough, pastries, breads, quiches and cakes.
- Follow set recipes and techniques whilst maintaining consistency and quality
- Store prepared items correctly and keep fridges and shelves tidy.
- Support the chefs by making sure everything is ready when needed.
- Help with ingredient orders once a week if asked.
- Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and follow food hygiene standards.
- Report if anything is missing or running low in the fridges or storage.
- Follow the preparation lists and instructions given by the chefs and work collaboratively with the rest of the kitchen team.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience as a baker or pastry professional
- Strong knowledge of sweet and savoury baking techniques
- Level 2 certificate in food and hygiene
- Good understanding of allergen management
- Able to stand and work in a busy production space
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, bakery, or food production environment
- Good understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and team player attitude
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and bank holidays

Pay: £12.75 per hour
