Job Purpose
We are looking for a Senior Ecommerce Executive to join our ecommerce team and support the day-to-day running and optimisation of our online trading activity.
This role will work closely with the existing Ecommerce Executives to help manage workload across site trading, product updates, promotions, content changes, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, able to understand ecommerce performance, and comfortable investigating issues or opportunities in more detail when needed
Key Responsibilities
- Support the current Ecommerce Executives with day-to-day ecommerce workload, including trading activity, product launches, promotions, and content updates.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and manage them independently from brief through to completion.
- Monitor website, product, search, conversion, and customer journey performance.
- Analyse ecommerce data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Investigate performance challenges where required and recommend practical actions.
- Ensure website content, product information, merchandising, pricing, and promotions are accurate and up to date.
- Work with teams such as marketing, merchandising, buying, customer service, and digital development to support ecommerce activity.
- Assist with site merchandising, product ranking, onsite search, filtering, navigation, and category optimisation.
- Support testing and optimisation activity to improve conversion and customer experience.
- Produce regular performance updates, highlighting key insights, risks, and recommended actions.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous ecommerce experience in a trading, merchandising, or digital role.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand ecommerce performance and interpret data.
- Confident digging deeper into performance issues to identify causes and suggest solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail when managing website content, products, pricing, and promotions.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercial mindset with an understanding of how ecommerce activity supports sales, conversion, and customer experience.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams.
- Comfortable using ecommerce platforms, analytics tools, and reporting dashboards.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience using Bloomreach Discovery.
- Experience using Shopify.
- Knowledge of onsite search, product recommendations, merchandising rules, and search optimisation.
- Experience working in a retail, fashion, beauty, consumer goods, or similar ecommerce environment.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics or other ecommerce analytics platforms.
