Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Joiner/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing high-quality wooden structures and fixtures across various projects. Your expertise will contribute to delivering durable, precise, and aesthetically pleasing carpentry solutions. Duties
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to create custom joinery and structural components.
- Install wooden frameworks, fixtures, cabinetry, roofing structures, and interior fittings with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling large or bulky materials during fabrication and installation processes.
- Conduct construction painting, finishing, and touch-ups to ensure high-quality presentation of completed projects.
- Collaborate with team members on site to coordinate tasks such as plumbing, masonry, electrical wiring, or roofing as needed for integrated project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to safety protocols and ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly after use.
- Assist in site inspections and quality control checks throughout the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry or joinery with a strong background in fabrication and assembly techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders), and specialized equipment for precise carpentry work.
- Knowledge of construction processes including roofing, plumbing integration, masonry work, electrical experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining focus on safety procedures at all times.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, measurements, and technical drawings related to carpentry projects.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across different trades such as electrical or masonry teams.
- Commitment to quality workmanship with a keen eye for detail and safety standards.
