As a General Assistant, you'll play an important role in helping residents feel comfortable, supported and at home. Your work will contribute directly to creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment where people can relax and recharge after a busy day.
About the Role
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll support both housekeeping and catering operations, helping maintain high standards across accommodation, communal spaces and dining areas.
You'll work alongside a supportive team and become an important part of creating a positive experience for every resident.
What You'll Be Doing

Delivering high-quality cleaning and housekeeping services

Maintaining bedrooms, communal areas, dining rooms and facilities to excellent standards

Cleaning and servicing rooms and en-suite facilities

Supporting laundry operations when required

Assisting with food preparation, food service and dining area setup

Keeping kitchen, dishwash and service areas clean and organised

Ensuring hygiene and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained

Replenishing supplies and maintaining stock levels

Correctly managing waste and recycling

Reporting maintenance issues and resident feedback

Following all Health & Safety and COSHH requirements

Supporting deep cleaning schedules and service improvement initiatives

Creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for residents and visitors

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the site
What We're Looking For
-
Experience in hospitality, cleaning, catering, customer service or housekeeping is desirable

A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
-
Friendly and approachable personality

Ability to work well as part of a team

Reliable and organised approach to work

Comfortable carrying out the physical duties associated with the role

Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential
