Working alongside our long standing head chef of 25 years+ experience to manage daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, ensuring high food quality and general kitchen cleanliness.
The ideal candidate will have a good foundation knowledge of kitchens along with strong organisational skills, an ability to work under pressure, a good understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures, but most importantly a willingness to learn and become part of the team.
Italian Food and cooking knowledge is desirable, but above all we are looking for a strong relaible individual with a passion for continuous improvement, quality produce prepared from scratch and who understands the business.
Job Responsibilities:
· Food preparation
· Produce consistently high quality dishes, to the eye and mouth!
· Assists with menu planning, inventory, and stock management, purchase of produce.
· Ensures food hygenie and cleaniliess standards are maintained such that the kitchen is in good condition.
· Keeps section/stations clean and tidy during service so complies with meticulous food safety standards.
· Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance with enthusiasm.
· Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment within reason.
We are looking for a confident and passionate Chef with experience of high-volume orders and can perform in a fast-paced kitchen team during busy period such as weekends and the festive season.
