We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Engineer to provide maintenance, breakdown support, and engineering assistance for customer-owned equipment on site. Working as part of a team, you will help ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely while minimising downtime and supporting production.
Reports To: Engineering Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and planned maintenance on customer equipment, including daily, weekly and monthly checks.
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns quickly to minimise disruption to production.
- Record maintenance work, parts used, and any remedial actions required.
- Work closely with the engineering team and management to report faults and ensure issues are resolved.
- Order spare parts and maintain organised stock locations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues during shift handovers regarding completed and outstanding work.
- Support minor building maintenance when required.
- Share technical knowledge with colleagues and assist with training where needed.
- Suggest improvements to working practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
- Night Shift 40h
Additional Information
You will work closely with SynergyLMS staff to prioritise workload and maximise production while ensuring machinery safety and reliability.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £44,619.96 per year
