Join a Growing Automation Business
Advance Conveyor Group is a UK manufacturer of bespoke conveyor systems and automated warehouse solutions. Based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, we design, manufacture and install automation equipment for customers across a wide range of industries throughout the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an organised and proactive Project Co-ordinator to support our Project Managers and wider project delivery team.
This role is designed to take ownership of the administrative and coordination tasks that support successful project delivery, allowing our Project Managers to focus on managing customers, schedules and overall project performance.
You will work across purchasing, supplier coordination, project administration and internal communication, helping ensure materials, documentation and actions remain organised and on schedule.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Raising and processing purchase orders in line with project requirements
- Chasing outstanding orders and delivery dates with suppliers
- Monitoring components and materials required for active projects
- Flagging delays, shortages and risks promptly to the relevant Project Manager
- Maintaining accurate records of orders, deliveries and outstanding items
- Supporting Project Managers with day-to-day administration and coordination
- Following established project processes and ensuring required steps are completed on time
- Maintaining project trackers, schedules, documents and records
- Supporting project handover administration
- Ensuring service and aftercare requirements are captured during project handover
- Liaising with sales, design, engineering, operations and purchasing teams
- Helping ensure information is communicated clearly between departments
- Supporting communication with customers where required
- Following up agreed actions and ensuring tasks are not left unfinished or untracked
- Working closely with the Sales & Customer Experience Co-ordinator to support the transition from sales enquiry through to project delivery
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicating with suppliers, colleagues and customers
- Comfortable chasing information and delivery dates to keep projects moving
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks
- Reliable in following actions through to completion
- Comfortable working across several departments
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Desirable Experience
The following would be beneficial but is not essential:
- Previous experience in project administration or project coordination
- Experience working in a purchasing or procurement support role
- Experience raising purchase orders and communicating with suppliers
- Experience maintaining project trackers, schedules or delivery records
- Exposure to engineering, manufacturing or automation environments
Full training will be provided on our products, systems and internal project processes.
