Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee all activity across the premises, identifying any suspicious behavior or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access, ensuring all areas are secure.
- Implement loss prevention measures by observing and intervening in potential theft or misconduct situations.
- Respond swiftly to security incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary and coordinating with emergency responders.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and surveillance footage to ensure accurate record-keeping for security audits.
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Educate staff on security protocols and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security operations or related fields such as surveillance or loss prevention is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance technology to effectively monitor premises.
- Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations, including providing basic first aid when needed.
- Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail to identify potential security risks promptly.
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods during shifts.
- Relevant certifications in security procedures or first aid are advantageous but not mandatory.
