LIVE-IN BAR SUPERVISOR – 30 HOURS PER WEEK
We are looking for an experienced, reliable and responsible Live-In Bar Supervisor to join our team at the Markets Tavern Hotel in Brecon.
This is a permanent live-in position offering 30 contracted working hours per week, with free accommodation provided in a private hotel room with an en-suite bathroom.
The successful applicant must live on site, as the position also includes agreed overnight on-call duties.
Main responsibilities:
- Supervising the bar during scheduled shifts
- Opening and closing the premises
- Serving customers and providing excellent customer service
- Supporting and supervising bar staff
- Handling cash, card payments and closing procedures
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Following all licensing, fire-safety and health-and-safety procedures
- Dealing professionally with customers and hotel guests
- Providing overnight on-call assistance when required
- Responding to fire-alarm activations and emergencies
- Assisting hotel guests who become locked out or require urgent help overnight
- Reporting all incidents and concerns to management
Applicants must:
- Have previous bar and supervisory experience
- Be willing and able to live permanently on site
- Be reliable, trustworthy and comfortable working independently
- Be available for agreed overnight on-call duties
- Remain calm and responsible during emergencies
- Have good communication and customer-service skills
- Have the right to work in the UK
Pay: £12.71 per hour
