Link3 Recruitment are currently recruiting passionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of specialist SEN schools and Alternative Provisions throughout Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and surrounding areas.
We are looking for individuals who genuinely want to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs, particularly those who may require extra support with communication, behaviour, emotional regulation and learning.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Youth Workers, Care Workers or graduates looking to build a career within education and specialist support settings.
The Role
You may be supporting pupils with:
- Autism (ASC)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
- ADHD
- Challenging behaviour
- Trauma-informed support
- Speech & Language needs
- Complex learning difficulties
Roles are available within:
- SEN Schools
- SEMH Schools
- Alternative Provisions (AP)
- Specialist Units
- Intervention & Outreach Settings
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Building positive relationships with students
- Managing behaviour in a calm and consistent manner
- Supporting emotional regulation and engagement
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities
- Encouraging confidence, independence and progress
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children or young people
- Experience within SEN, SEMH, care, youth work or support work desirable
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
