Role Title: Warehouse Operative
Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Role Purpose:
As a Warehouse Operative your primary responsibility is to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment through various warehouse roles. These roles include order picking, goods-in and replenishment.
Key Requirements/Skills Key Activities
1. Order picking
- Contribute to a positive OTIF score through accurate and timely picking.
- Gain understanding of warehouse layout so improve picking speed.
2. Replenishment
- Regularly replenish lines on the floor where required.
3. Use forklift and other MHE equipment
- Material handling equipment (MHE) includes pallet trucks and forklifts
- Must have an up-to-date forklift license, preferably articulated truck trained.
- Ability to accurately put away / bring down stock from height using forklift.
4. Achieve KPI’s
- Pick rates – number of picks in a period
- Pick accuracy – percentage of correct picks vs incorrect picks
- Stock loss – value of stock lost in warehouse
5. Use IT Equipment
- Comfortable using a desktop PC for multiple system functions.
- Picking of Customer orders using HHT (Hand Held Terminal).
6. Teamwork
- Encourage fellow staff and join in with company initiatives.
- May be called upon to drive a van to deliver customer orders.
7. Communication
- Clear and consistent communication at all levels.
- Ability to feedback issues in professional way to a team leader or colleague.
8. Housekeeping
- Participate in the day-to-day running of the warehouse including maintaining tidy and clean warehouse.
9. Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS)
- Following all trained process to the letter without creating any short cuts to ensure quality management.
- Always ensuring H&S compliancy in the workplace, being mindful of your environment.
- Report any H&S issues to line manager at point of occurrence.
- Report any issues relating to breach of quality or environmental policy to line manager.
Requirements: Forklift licence
Hours: 8.30am - 6.30pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
