Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care
Kendal, Cumbria (LA9) | Up to £42,000 per annum
We are supporting a small, well-established domiciliary care branch in the recruitment of a Registered Manager to join their close-knit team and play a key role in the next stage of their growth.
As Registered Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of the domiciliary care service, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance and support are maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the domiciliary care service
- Leading, supporting and inspiring a dedicated care team
- Creating a positive, supportive and nurturing workplace culture
- Ensuring consistently high standards of person-centred care in line with CQC requirements
- Developing and reviewing care plans, risk assessments and other relevant documentation
- Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirement
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about care and confident in a leadership position.
- Preparing and submitting reports to relevant regulatory bodies, including CQC and safeguarding authorities
- Supporting the continued growth and development of the branch
- Training and mentoring members of the management team
- Participating in shared on-call responsibilities
- Providing hands-on care when required
You’ll ideally have:
- At least 1 year’s experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary care, or significant experience in a similar care management role
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care, or a willingness to work towards this
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance and safeguarding
- Proven experience leading, managing and developing a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good digital skills and confidence using care management systems, online filing systems and SOPs
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
