30 hour contract, even split between both roles.
15 hours Function Supervisor
15 hours Senior Waiter/Waitress
About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced hospitality professional to join the team at The Orangery, Margam Park, in a varied dual-role position. This unique opportunity combines the responsibilities of Function Supervisor for two days per week with Head Waiter/Waitress duties for a further two days, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both event management and front-of-house service.
As Function Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional events within the stunning setting of The Orangery. From weddings and celebrations to corporate functions and seasonal events, you will oversee the smooth running of each occasion, ensuring rooms are prepared to a high standard, service is delivered efficiently, and guests receive a memorable experience. You will lead and support the team throughout each event, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring every detail is executed with professionalism and care.
As Head Waiter/Waitress, you will be a leader within our busy food service operation, setting the standard for excellent customer service and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our visitors. You will support the front-of-house team, coordinate service, assist with training and development, and ensure that every guest enjoys a high-quality dining experience that reflects the reputation of The Orangery.
This role would suit someone with strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a genuine passion for hospitality. The successful candidate will be confident supervising teams, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in delivering outstanding service across all event operations. In return, you will have the opportunity to work within one of South Wales' most unique hospitality venues, helping to create memorable experiences for guests visiting Margam Park.
About you:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a supervisory or senior front-of-house role and be confident leading by example. You will be organised, professional, and calm under pressure, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining the highest standards of service. Whether coordinating a wedding reception or supporting a busy lunch service, you'll have a positive, hands-on approach and be willing to get involved wherever needed.
You will be an excellent communicator with strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and developing team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences. Attention to detail is essential, as is a genuine commitment to quality, ensuring every event, meal and guest interaction reflects the high standards and reputation of The Orangery.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about hospitality. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working as part of a team, and take pride in delivering warm, friendly and professional service that keeps our guests returning time and time again.
