Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and snacks in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously at the counter or table, providing friendly assistance and answering questions about menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, dining areas, and service counters throughout shifts
- Follow food safety procedures diligently to ensure hygiene standards are upheld at all times
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling transactions and giving correct change using basic math skills
- Support team members during busy periods by multitasking across roles such as barista, server, or kitchen assistant
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure hygienic handling and storage of food and beverages
- Previous barista experience is highly desirable for crafting quality coffee drinks with confidence
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills
- Ability to assist with food preparation tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods without compromising service quality
