About GreenRock
GreenRock is a family-run business, our Renewables division specialises in the installation and maintenance of Solar PV, BESS, EV charging, Renewable Heating systems and off-grid power solutions throughout Northern Ireland.
We're expanding and require an experienced, qualified electrician to join the team — hands-on work with quality kit, a supportive team, and genuine scope to grow with the business.
The Role
You'll be installing, commissioning and maintaining renewable energy systems, you will be ensuring jobs run smoothly from start to finish. Day to day this includes:
- Electrical installation for solar PV, battery storage, EV charge points & heat pumps
- Testing, inspection and commissioning of completed systems
- Fault-finding and remedial work on existing installations
- Completing installation certification and handover documentation accurately
- Liaising professionally with clients on site and representing GreenRock well
What You'll Need (Essential)
- Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / equivalent) and time-served experience
- C&G 2391 (or 2394/2395) inspection & testing
- 18th Edition wiring regulations (BS 7671)
- Full, clean driving licence
- Confident working independently and to a high standard
- Comfortable working at height
Desirable
- Hands-on installation experience with solar PV, battery storage, EV charging & renewable heating systems
- Working knowledge of G98/G99 grid connection requirements
- Experience with multiple inverter platforms (Sigenergy & Solax)
- ECS / JIB card
