At Buttle's we are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded graduate to join our Sales Graduate Programme. We have created a structured development programme designed to give you the knowledge, experience and confidence to become a successful sales professional within our business.
You will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of our sales operation, learning from experienced managers and industry experts while building relationships with customers across the construction sector.
No previous knowledge of building materials is required, we will teach you everything you need to know.
What You'll Learn
Over a 24-month structured programme, you will gain experience in:
- Learn our extensive range of building materials and products.
- Developing exceptional customer service skills.
- Process quotations and customer orders.
- Building relationships with local trade customers.
- Branch operations and stock management.
- Generating new business opportunities.
- Following up quotations and maximising sales opportunities.
- Pricing, negotiation and margin management.
- Working towards individual sales targets.
- Managing your own customer portfolio.
- Visit customers and construction sites.
- Developing new business within your territory.
- Producing sales plans and account reviews.
- Commercial negotiation and key account management.
Throughout the programme you will receive mentoring, product training and regular development reviews to help accelerate your career.
What We're Looking For
We are interested in people with the right attitude more than previous experience.
You will ideally have:
- A degree in Business, Sales, Construction Management or another relevant subject.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial awareness and a desire to succeed.
- Confidence speaking with customers.
- Strong organisational skills.
- A proactive, positive attitude.
- Excellent IT skills
- A full UK driving licence
