Main purpose of job
This entry-level role provides administrative support within the Human Resources team. The post-holder is the first point of contact for general HR related staff queries, carries out a variety of operational tasks whilst ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The role can be based in Rushden, Luton or Bedford and is a fixed term contract for 3 months.
Summary of key tasks
· Logging staff sickness/absences, running monthly reports
· Updating staff HR/payroll records
· Preparing documentation/letters for new starters/leavers
· Applying for DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks
· Assisting with recruitment (placing advertisements, collating responses, organising interviews etc)
· Co-ordinating work-experience placements and assisting with the organisation of career marketing events
· Updating HR templates, job descriptions and HR slide presentations
· Assisting with the management of staff training and development needs
