Job Description
We are seeking a full-time PSV-qualified driver to join our team, operating our open-top Routemaster buses on the Round London Sightseeing Tour. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role ideal for experienced drivers who take pride in their work, enjoy interacting with the public, and want to be part of something iconic.
You’ll work alongside a live tour guide and conductor, delivering high-quality service on a consistent Thursday to Sunday rota, with plenty of overtime opportunities during the busy summer season.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a heritage open-top Routemaster bus through central London on scheduled sightseeing tours
- Ensure passenger safety and comfort at all times
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Follow all traffic laws and TfL regulations
- Collaborate with the onboard guide and conductor to deliver a professional, punctual, and enjoyable tour
- Assist with boarding, alighting, and customer queries
- Support light cleaning and bus presentation duties as needed
Requirements
- Valid PCV (Category D) licence and current CPC qualification
- Experience driving buses in London – Routemaster experience is preferred but not essential
- Excellent knowledge of central London’s road network and traffic conditions
- Clean driving record and strong commitment to safety
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude
- Availability to work Thursday to Sunday every week
- Willingness to assist with presentation and vehicle upkeep
