The Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Female Senior Residential Support Worker to join our waking night team.
The successful candidate will take a senior role during night shifts, supporting the team and ensuring that children and young people remain safe and well supported throughout the night.
Rolling Rota
Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Week 2: Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Shifts run from 8:00pm to 8:30am.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality support to children and young people throughout the night.
- Act as a Key Worker, supporting children’s care plans and overall well-being.
- Lead shifts, ensuring the smooth running of the home and effective teamwork.
- Complete checks and welfare monitoring in line with care plans
- Maintain a calm, structured, and secure environment
- Complete detailed and accurate records, including incident logs and handovers
- Respond appropriately to incidents, behaviours, or safeguarding concerns during the night
- Work independently while remaining alert and proactive throughout the shift
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting (within the last 5 years).
- Must have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
- A solid understanding of Ofsted regulations and the inspection process.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Emotional resilience and experience working with children with challenging behaviours.
- Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
