This permanent post offers the opportunity to deliver complementary therapies to palliative patients. The post holder will endeavour to provide for the holistic needs of the individual delivering complementary therapies to patients, in conjunction with other disciplines within the health care environment.
Working in a team of Palliative Care Consultants, Medical Staff, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Healthcare Support Workers/Complementary Therapists and AHPs, you would be contributing to the development and delivery of this vital service.
The post holder would be expected to work throughout the 4 hospitals within the secondary care service in ABUHB. This will include the Grange University Hospital, Nevill Hall Hospital, Royal Gwent Hospital and Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr.
Effectively manage their own caseload of palliative care patients in secondary care, Monday to Friday 9-5pm and on a rotation for weekends
Deliver a range of Complementary Therapies to patients under the care of the Palliative Care Team
Undertake planned patient care under the direction of trained staff.
Assist the Clinical Nurse Specialists and Medical team whilst caring for Palliative Care patients.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
