Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Assistant to join our retail team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing excellent service, and supporting store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a positive attitude. Fluency in multiple languages, particularly English and Spanish, is highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Provide information about products, promotions, and store policies
- Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Upsell products and services to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain visual merchandising standards throughout the store
- Manage stock levels and organise merchandise displays effectively
- Answer customer queries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist in organising store layouts and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth store operations
Experience
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers
- Ability to upsell products tactfully and effectively to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
- Demonstrated organisational skills to maintain neat displays and stock arrangements

Pay: £9,027.20-£10,574.72 per year
