Urgent Multi‑Skilled Engineer Support (Afternoon Shift)
Location: Redditch – Building Materials Production Plant
Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2pm – 10pm
Start: ASAP, with a site visit on Monday 20th July
MechElecPro Solutions is seeking a reliable and experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support a targeted two‑week improvement sprint at a high‑volume building materials production facility in Redditch. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in fast‑paced environments and is confident working independently on shift.
Role Overview
You will provide on‑site support Monday to Thursday during the 2pm–10pm shift, focusing on stabilising equipment performance, reducing downtime, and improving reliability across key production assets. Working closely with the site team, you’ll deliver practical improvements that enhance throughput and shift stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Root‑cause analysis of recurring stoppages and reliability issues
- Mechanical, electrical and control‑based fault‑finding
- Adjustments, alignment and optimisation of equipment
- Coaching operators on best‑practice running and setup
- Producing clear documentation for settings, checks and improvements
- Identifying and implementing minor upgrades to improve stability
What We’re Looking For
- Strong multi‑skilled background (mechanical & electrical)
- Experience in manufacturing or heavy‑industry environments
- Confident diagnosing faults under pressure and working independently
- Good communication skills with operators and shift leaders
- Practical, proactive and improvement‑driven mindset
Contract Details
- Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2pm–10pm

Pay: £250.00-£300.00 per day
