Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to residents in care homes or individuals receiving home care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans under supervision
- Monitor residents' health and report any concerns to senior staff promptly
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Ensure a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure high-quality care delivery
- Support with light domestic duties within the care setting
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with care plans and basic IT systems used for record keeping is advantageous
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs for home care roles
- Demonstrated ability to work compassionately and professionally in a healthcare setting
