Tarff Valley Ltd is Scotland’s oldest Agricultural Co-operative, established in 1903 and has in excess of 1300 members. Tarff is an Agricultural Merchant supplying the rural community in Southern Scotland, Northern England, Ayrshire and Islay, with a wide range of quality products and services.
We are looking for a Production Operative for our Castle Kennedy branch where we mix and despatch animal feeds in bulk to customer and company formulations.
Responsibilities
- Mix feed to customer and company requirements from formulations - Mixing and bagging feed into totes
- Loading lorries, tractors and trailers
- Liaise with customers by phone and face to face
- Telehandler and Forklift operation
Requirements
The successful applicant will carry out the daily operations of the feed store within a team. The position will report to the Feed Store Manager full training will be given .
The applicant should have good communication, organisational and time management skills. You should be physically fit and hold a full UK current driving licence. Forklift/Telehandler experience is preferred however training will be given to the right candidate.
This role requires the candidate to be self-motivated with eye for detail and excellent customer service skills. Previous experience of mixing animal feed / agricultural experience would be an advantage.
Overtime may be a requirement of the role .
