Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, supporting culinary operations, and ensuring smooth service delivery. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with the organisation of supplies and stock management.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts.
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining a tidy work environment to promote safety and efficiency within the kitchen.
- Adhering to all food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided. Candidates with skills in food preparation, cooking, serving, or general kitchen experience are encouraged to apply. A background in culinary arts or hospitality demonstrates a strong understanding of customer service standards and team collaboration. Enthusiasm for working in fast-paced environments and a keen eye for cleanliness are highly valued attributes for this role.
