About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking 3.5T Van Driver to join our recycling collection team. This role involves travelling to stores across the UK to collect boxes of recyclable materials and transport them back to our site in Hull.
The position requires Monday to Friday working with hotel accommodation provided each night, as routes cover various regions and regular overnight stays are required.
Salary: £14.50 per hour (based on a 10-hour day)
Holiday Entitlement: 30 days per year, increasing by 1 day for each completed year of service to a maximum of 35 days.
Hours: Monday to Friday (Overnight Stays Required)
Location: Based in Hull – UK-Wide Travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a 3.5T van safely and professionally.
- Visit stores across the UK to collect boxes of recyclable materials.
- Load and unload recycling boxes from stores and the vehicle.
- Transport collected materials back to our site in Hull.
- Complete collection records and paperwork accurately.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with store staff.
- Comply with all transport, health and safety, and ADR regulations where applicable.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
- ADR licence essential, or willingness to work towards obtaining one.
- Previous van driving experience preferred but not essential.
- Good knowledge of UK roads and motorway networks.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving boxes throughout the day.
- Comfortable working away from home Monday to Friday, with overnight hotel stays.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
