Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sampling Production Manager to join our growing team. You will play a key role in taking samples requests of our timber flooring, then processing those requests and selecting the right floors that are needed and cutting them with a saw to the correct sizing and specifications. In addition the freshly cut samples will need to be machine sanded ready for labelling and dispatch. The role is an excellent part time position that is rewarding and a key role in the overall business, as samples is one of the most integral positions in the company.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and practical skills with experience working with saws / machines.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for someone with a joinery or carpenter background that has experience in practical work, and working with saws and machines.
Someone who is looking to be rewarded for putting in the effort and hard work, as well communicating excellently with colleagues.
Key responsibilities:
- Take Wood Flooring Sample Requests and pick the necessary stock from the warehouse.
- Identify the correct planks to create samples out of.
- Cut the full length planks accurately into the right sizing specifications.
- Fully sand and correctly allocate the cut samples into specific categories ready for labelling and send out.
- May need to undertake labelling process as well.
- Other tasks will be required from time to time.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a practical role, that involves working with machines and industrial saws.
- Excellent communication skills
- Hardworking and humble attitude
- Ability to work independently with intuitive and as part of a team
· Comfortable using saws and machines all day.
