About the Role:
Liverpool is known for its rich culture, creativity, and iconic heritage, and at PhotoShowdown Creative Studios Ltd, we apply that same artistic standard to modern commercial media production. We produce high-impact visual content, brand photography, and creative studio experiences that make a lasting impression. We believe that media production should be dynamic, inspiring, and seamless. We are looking for a Creative / Studio Assistant who can help keep our energetic studio environment running at peak performance. You aren't just setting up gear; you are an essential operational partner in bringing visual concepts to life. You will work closely with photographers, directors, and commercial clients, bridging the gap between behind-the-scenes logistics and polished final deliverables.
Why Work With Us? The Environment: Our studio space is located in the vibrant heart of Liverpool. We value a workspace that inspires visual storytelling—think modern sets, state-of-the-art gear, and a supportive team culture. Hands-On Experience: We don't keep you on the sidelines. You will gain direct, real-world exposure to commercial shoots, studio management, and digital asset workflows from Day 1. Modern Production Setup: We work with industry-standard cameras, lighting rigs, and post-production software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom), giving you access to top-tier creative tools. Growth: You will work alongside experienced creative professionals who are invested in mentoring you, refining your skills, and helping you build a compelling industry portfolio.
Key Responsibilities: Studio & Set Preparation: Set up, test, and reset photography equipment, lighting rigs, backdrops, and props prior to client shoots. Ensure the studio is client-ready at all times. On-Set Support: Assist photographers and directors during active shoots by managing lighting adjustments, swapping gear, and ensuring shoot schedules stay on track. Digital Asset Management: Assist with organizing, transferring, culling, and tagging RAW image files and digital media following structured workflow standards. Post-Production & Retouching: Handle basic photo editing, retouching, and asset resizing using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Lightroom) to meet client delivery specs. Client & Studio Operations: Greet clients upon arrival, coordinate daily studio schedules, maintain prop inventory, and keep studio spaces clean and orderly. Social & Content Creation: Capture behind-the-scenes (BTS) photos and video footage to support the studio’s marketing and social media channels.
What We Are Looking For: Passion & Knowledge: A strong foundational interest in photography, studio lighting, or digital media production. Technical Familiarity: Proficiency or working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom) and digital media file management. Mindset & Organization: Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Communication: Clear, friendly, and professional communication skills with an approach that makes clients feel welcome and supported.
