SEN Teaching Assistant - Blackpool

A welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in Blackpool is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, initially through an education agency, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Provide 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access learning and achieve their individual targets.

Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver tailored interventions and personalised learning.

Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in a nurturing environment.

Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive.

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable, but not essential.
