Lighthouse Hotel Management are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic team member to join their Maintenance Team. Working in Courtyard by Marriott Luton Airport Hotel, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the wider hotel team in delivering an exceptional experience for our valued guests.
Job Description:
To ensure the hotel's facilities and equipment are maintained in excellent condition, providing a safe, comfortable, and high-quality experience for guests and staff by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across the hotel.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Assist with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance workspaces.
- Report major issues to management and escalate when required.
- Support the Maintenance Manager as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Some working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess a level of physical fitness to carry out manual tasks.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
