For over 60 years, Valley Hydraulics has specialised in the design and manufacture of bespoke hydraulic cylinders from our Clitheroe site. Built on a team of skilled and long-serving employees, we are now expanding our finishing, testing, and assembly team to meet growing demand.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Assembly & Test Technician to join our engineering team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who takes pride in precision, quality, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling hydraulic cylinders in line with engineering drawings and specifications
- Checking measurements and tolerances to ensure high-quality manufacturing standards
- Fault finding, diagnosing issues, and carrying out repairs on hydraulic cylinders
- Pressure testing hydraulic cylinders using company test rigs to ensure they are leak-free and meet required standards
- Setting up and operating hydraulic test equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly, fitting, or hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Hands on methodical worker
- Good problem-solving skills, particularly in fault finding and repair
- Experience with hydraulic testing equipment (desirable but not essential)

· Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 17:00
