Overview
We are seeking a dedicated CSCS Labourer to join our construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in the building industry and a desire to develop a broad range of skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various trades and ensuring the smooth progress of construction projects. Candidates should be reliable, physically fit, and eager to learn, with a focus on safety and quality.
Duties
- Assisting with general site clearance, loading, and unloading materials
- Supporting trades such as roofing, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and carpentry
- Handling hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assisting with the installation of plastering, fabrication, or construction painting tasks as required
- Preparing work areas by organising materials and setting up equipment
- Adhering to health and safety protocols at all times
- Assisting with site logistics including moving materials and equipment around the site
- Reading and interpreting schematics when necessary to support specialised tasks
Skills
- Previous experience in construction or related trades is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, masonry, or carpentry is desirable
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Familiarity with schematics or technical drawings is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physically fit with the ability to perform manual labour over extended periods
- Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
- Awareness of health & safety regulations relevant to construction sites
