New Venture Care Ltd is looking for the right people to join their vibrant team as an Apprentice Care Worker. There are two apprenticeship positions available. No previous experience is required as full paid training and a comprehensive induction will be provided, so the successful applicants can be confident they will be supported from day one.
What You’ll Be Doing
- As a Healthcare Assistant/Care Worker, you’ll visit people in their own homes and help them live safely and independently.
- This is a Night Support Worker role so hours will be varied and flexible and change from week to week.
- Work based learning and studying for an Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship.
Typical duties include:
- Providing personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Helping with meal preparation and household tasks
- Supporting with medication reminders or administration
- Assisting with mobility and attending appointments
- Always promoting independence and dignity
You’ll work closely with our care team and management, who will always have your back.

Working Week: Week 1 – 4 days, Week 2 – 3 days with work-based learning. 8-hour shifts. Exact working pattern to be confirmed equating to minimum 30 hours per week
Salary: £13.50 per hour - £21,060 per annum
Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English Grade 2 is desired but not essential
Future Prospects: There is possibility for ongoing employment and progression for the applicant on successful completion of the apprenticeship.

What you need to know:
- This apprenticeship course is for 12 months and suitable for anyone already in a care setting or wishing to pursue a career in social care.
- Any college attendance required will be at the Brighton Met campus.
- To be eligible for this apprenticeship, applicants must be free from full time education and have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years, with a full work authorisation.
- It will be essential to have a full driving licence and own transport to fulfil this role.
- Hours will be guaranteed although shifts will be flexible including weekdays, weekends, morning and evening

Further Information: Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £8.00 per hour (As of the 1st April 2026). This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16- to 18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum Wage appropriate to their ages applies.
